Frequently Asked Questions

Payment & Insurance

I am a private pay provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. This allows us to focus on your care without the limitations that can come with insurance plans, such as session caps or required diagnoses.

If you have out-of-network benefits through your insurance, you may be able to get reimbursed for a portion of your session fees. To make that process easier, I partner with Mentaya, a service that helps clients submit claims and manage reimbursement paperwork.

You can check your out-of-network benefits and learn more about Mentaya by pressing the link below.

Clients are responsible for the full session fee at the time of service, and any insurance reimbursement goes directly back to you.

Walk and Talk Therapy

Walk and Talk Therapy is a unique and grounding alternative to traditional in-office sessions. We meet at Camenisch Park located across 84th from our office. We can walk together in a natural setting while engaging in therapy. This approach can help clients feel more at ease, increase mindfulness, and support emotional processing through movement.

Walk and Talk sessions are scheduled before 3 PM to ensure adequate daylight and safety. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. In the case of inclement weather, we can switch the session to in-office or telehealth as needed.

If you’re interested in this option, just let me know when scheduling.

What are your rates?

My fee is $150 per 60-minute session. I’m happy to work with you to create a sustainable and affordable session schedule. I also partner with Mentaya to help increase your chances of out-of-network insurance reimbursement.

Are there limitations to therapy and what to do in an emergency?

Therapy can be a powerful tool for growth and healing, but it does have its limitations. I do not provide 24/7 crisis support or emergency services. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or need immediate help, please call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or contact the Colorado Crisis Line at 1-844-493-TALK (8255) or text TALK to 38255.

Additionally, while I strive to create a safe, supportive space, therapy is not a quick fix. Progress often takes time and depends on many factors, including consistency, readiness for change, and the nature of the concerns being addressed. If I ever determine that your needs would be better served by a different provider or level of care, I will support you in finding appropriate resources or referrals.

What areas do you serve?

My office is conveniently located in North Denver and is easily accessible to individuals and couples in Westminster, Federal Heights, Arvada, Commerce City, Thornton, Northglenn, Broomfield, Brighton, Lakewood, Wheat Ridge, Edgewater, and surrounding areas.
